This website has been created to facilitate the Christmas Tree fundraiser event and will be ‘mothballed’ after the event, with all data purged as required.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When customers wish to avail of the Christmas Tree collection service, we require some information to facilitate this. At a minimum, we
require a Name, Address and EIRCODE. Phone numbers are also requested in case of any issues arise in which we need to contact the user. For example, we call to collect the tree at the agreed day and time and it can’t be found at the front of the house.
Contact forms
We use woocommerse plugin to capture order information. The information is stored in a database on the website. Only
administrators have access to this data. The data will be downloaded and Eircode’s only will be shared with our collection teams to facilitate the
collection of trees. Our collection teams will all be volunteer members, parents and mentors of 2010 BSJ Boys.
Who we share your data with
We do not share any personal data with any third parties. When you use one of our contact forms, we will only use your personal information to contact you regarding your the Christmas Tree Collection you have ordered.
How long we retain your data
In the case where you provide consent to retain your phone number, we will retain for the sole purpose of advertising this event next
year. You may receive a WhatsApp or SMS alerting you to the fact that we are running the event again next year.
All other data will be removed from the website after the event. We may retain a subset of data on local hard drives for a period of one month for the purpose of financial auditing by the BSJ club executive.
What rights you have over your data
You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request
that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Your data is not sent or disclosed to any third party outside of the administrators of the fundraising event.
